The Balu Hotel is perfect located, just a few steps from the ferry port. Upon my arrival at the Balu Hotel, I received a very warm welcome from Florencia. She made my stay very pleasant and comfortable, which I greatly appreciate ❤️! Thank you so much! I booked a bed in a 4-bed dormitory and was very lucky to have it all to myself. The dormitory is located at the back of the building and even has a balcony. That made it very comfortable for me to sleep there very well.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly going out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and looked after. The manager Celeste takes pride in her job running the hostel, and helped orient me to the best beaches and nightlife and helped organise one on one Snorkelling for a good price. I felt like part of the family here. I would definitely recommend for a chilled place in Isla mujeres for a good price. The beds were comfortable and the two cats were so cute and a total bonus..
