Hotel isabela is a gorgeous spot on Isla marina. The instructions to get on the boat were really clear and it was a very speedy and beautiful journey. Make sure to have enough cash to cover the fare. I was allowed early check in which was really useful and the room itself was very pleasant with an outdoor shower. There was no AC but I had 2 fans in the room which made up for that somewhat. Hotel Isabela is definitely a place of two halves. From 10am until about 3pm it is very popular with day trippers, and there is music, salsa classes and lots of people. But luckily they have a multitude of beaches where you can escape the noise from the main beach. From 3pm once they all leave, the hotel really comes into its own. So unbelievably tranquil and serene. My room came with its own private beach which was such a privilege. I took part in the bioluminescent plankton experience which was incredible. This does involve snorkelling which I didn’t know and had never done before but I tried it and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and remembered my name which was a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend.

The location is great -beautiful beach with crystal clear and warm water. The staff is really nice and kind and everything on the restaurant’s menu was tasty. We loved the hut but you should expect more a « glamping » experience than a hotel room.

An amazing stay in a perfect secluded part of the world. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was great. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. The scenery is beautiful - made better by the ability to enjoy them in an extremely peaceful environment. Be aware that day trips do visit the resort from 930 - 230 however the rooms tend to be away from this area so you don’t hear much from them. Additionally you are very isolated so anything you need has to be bought from the hotel. However we felt everything was reasonably priced and easy to access at all times. An amazing stay!
