Once we had determined where to gain access (round the back), everything was great. A lovely room overlooking the loch, with a huge bathroom. A very comfortable bed, and amazingly quiet considering we were on a main road. The place was spotless, the host (sorry I've forgotten her name) was extremely helpful with info about places to visit, and in the morning created a wonderful breakfast. We had prebooked a restaurant for an evening meal, which I would recommend, as eating out in a busy town, isn't easy. Our choice, 'Samphire', met with our hostess's approval, as her daughter was working there that evening, and it was excellent. I would definitely recommend both the Old Rectory for B&B and the Samphire for an evening meal.

Cathy was very welcoming as we came in from the car park at the back of the accommodation. Even though we had to go up two flights of stairs, the view from the room was worth it. The building itself is beautifully maintained and has an authentic feel about it. Our room and ensuite were large and comfortable. It is just a short walk back to the main part of the town with many options for food. Breakfast the next morning was extensive and tasty. We couldn't think of anything that Cathy and her husband could have done to make air stay more pleasant
