From the moment we saw Posada Ingapirca we knew it was going to be an amazing stay! It was definitely worth the gentle climb up from the village. We had a very warm welcome from Jorge and settled into our beautiful room with a great view. The whole property is so well situated and the walk around it was so peaceful, with hammocks to rest in and llamas to meet! Both meals, dinner and breakfast were delicious and the service was first class. We especially enjoyed the little cocktail we had before dinner, it was a lovely touch. We did the walk around the ruins - not in the ruins - on the afternoon we arrived (the ruins are closed on Monday and Tuesday) and we were accompanied by the property’s dog called Doggie, who was so attached to us the whole way! I should also add that it is very peaceful there, so we slept really well. Sad to leave after just one night.
