The place was fantastic, beautiful, clean, and so close to the beach, 10 minutes walking. The staff were so friendly ad also receptionist Carla was so friendly and helpful, helped me to book my trip back to Rio. The breakfast was also delicious and everything great, This place is highly recommended.

Lovely little place! The Pousada Paloma ist a small hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere, simple yet comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast prepared from some lovely ladies and very friendly staff at the reception. It’s in a quiet area of town but only 3 minutes walk from the beach. The breakfast area doubles as a pasta restaurant at night where you can eat at a 10% discount and the food is good.

My one-night stay at Pousada Paloma on Ilha Grande was fantastic. The front-of-house staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they all spoke excellent English. They gave me valuable advice about the hikes I wanted to do. I got to practice my Portuguese with the cook, who kindly boiled some eggs I had bought for my onward journey and was concerned that I hadn’t eaten enough for breakfast – very caring! The breakfast spread was impressive. My room was super cute, really clean, and exactly as described online. The Pousada is within easy walking distance of the village and the beach. There is a nearby kiosk that sells delicious and super cheap caipirinhas. I wish I had stayed longer to explore more of the island.
