I had a lovely 2-night stay at the Carlton Hotel in Ilfracombe. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and well-organised. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. A special mention to Michael at reception, who was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my visit. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore Ilfracombe and the surrounding area. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would happily return in the future.

From the moment we walked in the experience was a joy. Michael the owner was the perfect host. He made us feel really special. He knew where we went each day and asked about it when we returned. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Our large room was great; comfortable bed wonderful shower in the en suite. There were comfy chairs plus a table and chairs. The restaurant was well appointed and the food delicious. All the staff, housekeeping and restaurant seemed to take a real pride in their work. All in all, this is one of the best hotels that we have stayed in and when we return to north Devon we will certainly stay at the Carlton.

the cleanliness was outstanding. Staff were welcoming and informative. Location fantastic within walking distance of harbour and shops. Parking on site a bonus.
