The staff were friendly and the lodge offered a genuine Japanese experience, with tatami mats, futons and an Onsen.

The owner was a fantastic and lovely man who really took his time to be helpful, explaining where things were on maps and how to get around. An electric heater was great! The kerosene ones stink! So it was nice to stay in a room with an electric one.
