The view from the lounge is just amazing. Large apartment, both rooms with their own ensuite, well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. Super quiet location and a 10min leisurely walk up to the ski resort/restaurants. Aki is a top host - easy to communicate with, no problem using luggage delivery to/from, will pick you up in the mornings to take you to the resort if you wish, helps with ski gear rental and lift passes AND even books reservations to restaurants. It's a 20min bus ride up from Iiyama to Madarao so a doable stay if you don't have a car like us. More restaurants/eateries in the area than we thought too. We did a big grocery shop at the large supermarket next to Iiyama station before we bussed up. We loved our week in January at Aki's. Even with missing out on powder!

At Aki’s apartment , we had a wonderful New Year ski holiday. Every morning, we could see the breathtaking view outside the window, you can sit on the sofa and enjoy the sunrise and a sea of clouds. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. Aki is an incredibly warm and attentive host who welcomed us with great hospitality and provided all the assistance we needed. Aki’s cafe also has the best pizza!!
