The room is quite well-equipped for a US room (they often don't have kettles or toasters, which other places take for granted) but this one had a microwave in it, which was great as I arrived late, there weren't many restaurants open by then, but there's a handy little shop in the foyer where you can buy snacks and prepared meals to heat up. The room was not expensive for DC but was a good size and had a sofa and desk. I walked into town and back easily, and it was a short Uber drive to the train station. Breakfast was included and it was fine.

Everything was great besides the gluten free breakfast. There was no gluten free breakfast, but the hotel let us order from outside.

Exclusive location ! The Hotel is located in downtown of Washington, D. C., a block away from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. As I had been invited to an International Conference (where a whopping 12000 attendees participated) at the Convention Center, it was a mere 10-min walk including stop ("don't walk") times at crossings. As to the Hotel, it is spacious, ultra-clean, with large enough rooms, kitchenette, fridge, a nice bath-room, and a decent street view. The staff are modest, helping out, giving the right pointers, and ace trouble-shooters. I inadvertently misplaced my small bag with a travel kit, but someone from the staff retrieved it and duly returned it to me, which stands testimony to their honesty. Breakfast is a sumptuous 'Continental' one. The entire neighborhood is well-planned, with beautiful houses and during this summer season, flowers blossoming everywhere. One can traverse east-west or north-south, the city has its charm and beauty, worthy of a capital city. Walking down the 9th Street, one reaches the National Mall and the remarkable Museums, of course, the magnificent Smithsonian museums inclusive. A Giant Food store is half a block away, so convenient for purchasing water and groceries.
