Heather “Great location”
07 Oct 2025
Location is ideal and there is loads of free parking which is bonus in this area. We were able to park up prior to checking in and go for our lunch in the town until our room was ready. The room was decent size and it had a good kitchen area and seating. Despite being on the ground floor you got almost no street/traffic noise at all. Our room seemed to back onto the lot of a telecom centre which meant it was super quiet at night. Staff were great and super friendly. On checkout, we were able to leave our car while we visited the JFK museum (it was closed the day we arrived) and go for a look around the shops before leaving Hyannis. Minimal noise from other rooms which was something we'd experienced throughout our 3-week road trip, even in some of the bigger fancier hotels. The free laundry (washer/dryer/detergent) and the use of beach chairs, towels etc was so well appreciated! Location again – it is so quick to walk to the ferry ports and harbour as well as along the main street. We can recommend *Bread & Roses cafe (the french toast is delicious!) for breakfast and lunch (we went twice!) and it has a bookstore *Anejo Mexican Bistro which does massive margaritas as well as the best tacos. *Portside Tavern – it was quite a loud bar with the sport games on full volume (as well as annoying ads every two mins) but lobster rolls are lovely and reasonably priced compared to other places. They also do a really good salad & grains bowl called Harvest Bowl which was full of health and well tasty! *Avoid Black Cat Tavern – we went for drinks later in evening and despite the patio at back being almost empty, the owner told us we could only sit at the bar. We pointed to loads of empty Adirondack chairs and he said they were people who were eating. Who sits on them for food? His attitude was quite unfriendly. We had one drink each and left, meanwhile the comfy seats sat empty.
