Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made.If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform Hotel Eldhestar in advance.It is recommended to pre-book the horseback riding tours during summer months.The opening hours for the restaurant varies between September 15 - May 15. Please pre-book your food during this period.Please note that during winter, snowstorms or heavy snowfall may prevent us from maintaining the hot tubs properlyPlease inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms warm and comfortable and there were hot tubs for guests to use . Very good breakfast.

Location is very good. The rooms are clean.We had dinner at the restaurant and the fish was excellent. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The staff was super helpful. Allowed us to check in early.

Nice spacious rooms in the sprawling low-level hotel, with a horse theme. Nice, quiet country setting, with access to an attached stables for those interested in riding. Clean throughout, staff helpful and a good spread for breakfast. Bright communal area with free tea and coffee. Close to Hveragerdi town, but a car is needed. Thermal area on the other side of town.

Eldhestar is a very comfortable hotel. The staff are amazing and having the horse riding on site is a real bonus. The hot tubs are great for relaxing after a day out. I can't wait to return to Iceland to stay here again.
