Glorious hotel with superb food and idyllic sea front location with private beach. The breakfast was excellent, with à la carte options and buffet. For dinner, we tried all three restaurants (and room service) and they were all excellent. The quality of the food in general was exceptional. The staff were happy, efficient and friendly and management were always keen to know that our experience was perfect. Our room was taken care of by Hossam, who was amazing. The room was very modern with an unusual layout, very tastefully decorated. We had a beach front room, well worth the upgrade, just spectacular. El Gouna itself is a gated town that is only accessible to those working or staying there, so it is super-safe. The Chedi is like a village within the town, with its own security from the rest of the town so literally the only people on the complex are the guests and the staff. The rooms are in very small blocks dotted around this mini-village. You walk outside to get to reception, the restaurants, bar, beach, spa etc. There is waiter service on the beach and lifeguards, although the sea is like a heated swimming pool so they don't have much to do! We stayed one week and only had one very small glitch right at the end involving the airport transfer, which was probably not even the fault of the hotel itself - but it was quickly rectified by management in a very kind and professional manner. Quite simply, the Chedi is one of the finest hotels we have stayed in and we can't recommend it highly enough!

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Chedi El Gouna. The hotel offers excellent facilities, including thoughtful touches like sunblock and after-sun lotion available by the pool, which really enhances the comfort of your stay. The beach is beautiful, clean, and perfectly maintained, offering a peaceful retreat right at your doorstep. A special thank you to Salma and Magda, who gave us the best massage we’ve ever had—a truly unforgettable experience. And a big compliment to Milanya, whose personal service was outstanding and made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr Bahaa and Mr Uecker for their wonderful hospitality. Breakfast was an absolute dream—an impressive spread with everything you could possibly imagine, and the coffee was excellent. We dined at all of the restaurants, and the Japanese restaurant really stood out with its delicious dishes and great variety. The tuna steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our room was spacious, efficiently designed, and had a beautiful terrace with a stunning sea view. The only suggestion we would make is regarding the room decor, which felt a bit too simple and lacked character compared to the rest of the hotel’s luxurious ambiance. Overall, The Chedi El Gouna is a serene and beautifully run hotel with exceptional service. We would love to return!

We enjoyed very much our stay in this hotel, the kindness of the staff, the attention to details. Moreover the food is absolutely delicious from breakfast, beach house to Nihon restaurant.
