We loved our unexpected stopover in Hulhumale. We travelled here after staying on one of the local islands, as we didn’t have enough transfer time before our international flight the next day. We were pleasantly surprised – the view from our room was gorgeous, and Ocean Hotel is close to lots of great restaurants too.

Me and my wife really loved our stay at Hotel Ocean Grand at Hulhumale! The view was absolutely amazing — right on the ocean, such a vibe. We got a sweet dessert when we checked in, which was a really nice touch. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant at the hotel had some really tasty food. Honestly, everything was great!

The staffs were amazing. They really took good care of us. I would specially mention Vineesh (Airport representative), he is a true asset to your hotel. Vineesh met us at the airport upon arrival and during departure from the hotel. He was with us all the way till we check in at the airport during departure and made sure we are comfortable. A big thank you for all the help you have given us. I highly recommend your hospitality skills to anyone needing any assistance at the Male Airport. Tanmay from the reception and Ranjith from your restaurant was also very courteous and helpful.

Hotel is only about 15 min drive from the Velana airport, perfect if you need to stay the night before heading to a Maldives resort. They organised a private taxi from the airport and also back there early in the morning. Because we left for the airport before the breakfast was served we got our breakfast in paper bags which we could eat at the seaplane terminal. Big bonus was a separate gluten free selection of an omelette, a salad and fruits.
