The fine print
Please note that the private entrance to the Walkers Retreat is accessible via a few steps onto an iron balcony. Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment. The kitchen/ living area, bedroom and toilet are all on one level, the shower room is located downstairs.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Sam and her family are lovely. Extremely helpful and friendly. The location is amazing, the surroundings beautiful. The accommodation is very private, comfortable and I have all the amenities I could have wanted for me 3 night stay. I would very happily stay there again. The local visit is pretty with a great community shop and cafe and there are two pubs within walking distance (maybe a reasonable walk) but just minutes drive away. One is literally at the end of the road. I was able to explore and sit in the owners garden. Wifi and everything really, worked very well. Added touches of a bottle of milk (sadly I don't drink it) and some eggs (gorgeous) were left in the fridge. I had a brilliant stay.

We had an incredible three-night stay at Walkers Retreat. The flat was very comfortable, warm, and well-supplied - it had everything we needed. It was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts, Samantha and Alex, were fantastic! The location couldn't have been better, and there were several leaflets and guides in the flat to help us plan some outings in detail. The view was gorgeous! The Holne community shop kept us well-supplied with food (the sweet chilli peanuts were a highlight!), and the pub's food is outstanding, though I highly recommend checking their opening days and times in advance. The property is also perfectly located, it allowed us to visit most of the highlights of Dartmoor. We even experienced three days of perfect, sunny weather - a miracle!
