The location is good, a few minutes walking from the ferry and max. 5 minutes to the city center. It is a fairly quiet street (no buggies going by nonstop). The view from the rooftop is nice. The apartment has a fridge, microwave, stove and a few utensils, e.g. to make coffee.

The location was good, close to town although a bit of construction work going on around the property. The host was great and recommended some good places to eat and organised a whale shark trip for us which was amazing.

The location is minutes’ walk from the harbour where the ferry arrives. Now in January it can get wet on the pavement which on the island Excellent communication with the host who send us a video on the best way to get to the property without putting the shoes in the water. Then solved our 2 problems very fast: the internet started working very well, he told us to wait 3 minutes for the water in the shower to become hot. We were placed not in the main red building but in a different property a few minutes walk away which still needs to be fully finished in construction (Luna Roja) and the room was excellent with wide and comfortable bed, lots of light and plugs. We read a lot of bad reviews about the property and the island in general related to the dirt or the water in the streets. When you are here you understand that the island is all at sea level, that there is an authentic effort to maintain it from a conservation and environmental point of view. This means that the streets are not paved, that they get muddy in some parts of the year when at night the moon makes the tide rise and the water form the sea reaches the streets, especially in the areas where the street is at a slightly lower level. Some of the really little dirt there is comes in from the sea or gets wiped from the tide. Even in January at 7am there is really little water left. From what we understand the situation gets a lot worse when in the winter it rains and the water comes in a lot more and stays high! Maybe Booking could suggest that last minute cancellations in these cases could be free of charge because the visit to the island in these rare conditions could become really difficult.
