Our normal check in is between 14H00 and 18H00.Please note that we are a Private Lodge and we do not have 24 hours check in service.Our gate is locked on a permanent basis due to the Wildlife on our property, we therefore ask that you please advise on an estimated time of arrival for us to have the gate unlocked upon your arrival.Latest check in is 19H00, between 19H00 and 20H00, there will be a Surcharge of R 250.00.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The property has everything. It’s a hidden gem, hence it is down a long dirt road….. which is still better than most English tarmac roads. You can find ostriches walking close by and if you venture out a little further on foot into the lodges own reserve; you can find zebras and giraffes. The actual lodge accommodation is second to none. As are the gardens, pools and relaxation areas. (Including restaurant and bar). It’s all set on the banks of the Blythe River. Beautiful. Its staff are friendly and helpful.

Blyde River Wilderness Lodge is a stunning place surrounded by nature. The road to reach it is easy, especially with the location sent beforehand, and spotting wildlife along the way was a real treat. The food is good, and the whole experience made our stay very enjoyable.
