Quite simply the best hostel I've ever stayed in, I extended my time there multiple times. The location is great, very close to everything in Hobart, including buses. Beds are comfortable and clean. The kitchen is spacious and multiple people can use it at the same time. But the best feature of the Pickled Frog is the common areas. They're spacious and clean, and allow people to chat very easily. The lounge areas are a brilliant part of this hostel. There's also loads of activity nights that people actively participate in and which eases interactions. No other hostel has come remotely close to the Pickled Frog.

The staff and fellow travellers were so much fun. Karaoke was a highlight! The facilities were clean, safe & location easy walk to down town Hobart. Really loved our stay & have raved to family & friends about the Pickled Frog. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay. We LOVED HOBART.

Great location and quirkyness. Happy staff and relaxed. Lovely froggy 🐸 and paintings. But messy but it worked. Showers need more hooks and shelving Slightly over crowded Bunks a bit creaky Kitchen is rough and crowded but kept clean enough Fridges packed so difficult to find space.

We stayed in the self contained room with our own kitchen and bathroom . It was wonderful to have a kitchen to make breakfast each morning . The location of the hostel is walking distance from cbd and harbour district .

I loved the Frog - yes the rooms are pretty decrepit and the kitchen is a tiny bit foul, but it was one of the most social hostels I've stayed in - not in terms of party - but in terms of meeting new travellers, having incredible conversations and teaming up for weekends away. The hostel truly has a family feel and it inhabits every space. I utterly loved this place

The staff is Amazing, Maria at reception is amazing and makes the best coffees in the world. She also does very good handstands. Other than that very social hostel with very cool people.
