Absolutely stunning location, with amazing views of the fjord and snowcapped mountains. Hotel itself lovely with friendly staff and a very good breakfast. We especially loved the many authentic elements and decor it has retained since its opening 130 years ago!

Hjelle Hotel is a phenomenal place to stay. I don’t have words to describe how perfect our stay was there. The owners are very lovely and helpful people, it was clean, breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options to choose from. The area is outstanding, there are hiking trails and the lake has a beautiful colour. Definately will be back in the future

Everything! The location, the view across the glacier lake, the facilities (spa and lake dip, rowing boat, gym), the incredible friendliness and knowledge of the owner.
