We caught the street car from Hiroshima Station, which wasn't far. Is fairly central. Room was great, although didn't have instructions for the pullout bed originally. Dropped our bags off early and when we came back our bags were already in our room.

Located between the station and the main attractions in Hiroshima so we were able to drop our luggage. Able to walk anywhere, but the walk to the castle is a bit longer.
