The fine print
The free shuttle from JR Hiraizumi Train Station is available at 14:30 and at 16:40. The shuttle back to the station is available at 9:00 and at 10:00. Guests can use the luggage storage facility in front of the train station.Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests.

The amenities are great, the staff friendly, polite, and extremely accommodating. The food is outstanding - generous portions, extraordinary variety and really fresh as a lot of it is grown in the hotel garden. The location is a little out of Hiraizumi but it doesn’t matter - there’s a shuttle, and the location is serene and beautiful. Also the onsen is amazing!

Its a remote location, but close to one of the most beautiful temples. The hotel staff is very friendly, but it helps if you speak a bit of Japanese. The breakfast was outstanding, and the public bath was very nice.

Fantastic dinner and breakfast at a reasonable price improved this ryokan. Room was nicely decorated and peaceful. Facilities were modern, including a massage chair. Staff were very polite and helpful.
