We only stayed three nights at Moorcroft, but we loved every minute. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with tea and scones in the warm afternoon sun. Dinner that evening was a highlight – the steak was excellent. The staff were warm, helpful and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Although the weather was cold, the fireplaces in the common areas were always going. Our room stayed cosy with the heater, and the heated bathroom made a real difference. The views were stunning, and we enjoyed a relaxing walk around the dam. Even the braying donkey and crowing rooster added to the charm and atmosphere. Evenings were spent sipping whisky in front of roaring fires before dinner – the perfect way to end the day. It was a fantastic stay, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful.
