Lodges Overview

Overlooking the Rietspruit and Umgeni Valleys in the Natal Midlands, The Hilton Bush Lodge is located in Hilton. Pietermaritzburg is 22 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site.
There is no restaurant onsite. All units are fitted with a microwave, kettle, toaster, and small fridge as well as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and biscuits for your enjoyment. The Luxury Suites have fully fitted kitchens and scullery area (dishwasher and washing machine). Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (only the Luxury Suites and Superior Rooms have a bath and shower). All rooms have a limited DSTV selection (including Sports channels). There is a seating and dining area in the Luxury Suites only.
Guests can enjoy relaxing at the pool (swimming towels to be collected from reception), bird watching from their private deck, and a walk to the top of the Rietspruit Falls.

Our Luxury Suites are two-bedroom units. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The second bedroom has a king-size bed or two single beds and is also ensuite with a shower. It includes a fully fitted kitchen, with a scullery area which includes a washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge area includes a fireplace, casual seating, and a dining area. There is an outdoor boma with a fire pit and braai facilities. All our rooms have a private deck with a view.

Our Deluxe Room has a king-size bed or two single beds. The ensuite bathroom has a shower. This is a semi self-catering unit with a small fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle. There is a small lounge area (with a sleeper couch which is suitable for one child up to 12-years old). An additional charge applies for the sleeper couch. All our rooms have a private deck with a view.

Our Superior Room has a king-size bed or two single beds. The ensuite bathroom has a bath and a shower. This is a semi self-catering unit with a small fridge, microwave, toaster, and kettle. There are two small tub chairs in the bedroom for your convenience. All our rooms have a private deck with a view.

Comfortable room. Nice view of the mountains. Close parking to the room. The overall ambience and bushveld feel was very back to nature yet the accommodation was very beautiful and luxurious. The snack packs in the fridge was a lovely surprise thank you!

We booked three rooms. The first two single rooms were great. Our room unfortunately was not. It was quite far away. The walk to it was tricky. The room had an interleading passage and someone else was on the other side. We could hear all their movements as the door was quite thin and because they had to walk past our front door which was our main source of natural light we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time so it felt very much like a airport hotel. The other two rooms were fine but ours was substandard
