Kind staff and great location! It’s quiet and right by the water and some great parks. It provides parking space and I can always find a spot without a problem!

The room was generally clean and people are very friendly. There are a few restaurant you can walk to in the area. The free parking is a good benefit.

The SCP Hilo is a great less expensive option and the room was spacious and provided everything we needed. What we wanted to highlight is the exceptional friendly personal at the front desk, who provided as great tips and recommendations for things we should see (thank you to the young guy with the cap, unfortunately we forgot his name, but he was amazing). Also there is complementary coffee, tea and water and washing machines are also available at the property, 24/7. For every stay they donate to a couple of local charity projects.

Have free coffee and tea in the lobby. Staff is good. Location is convenience. The facilities are old. Saw cockroaches in the hotel (small in the room & big in the yard)

Fantastic location, close to local restaurants and beaches. Hotel was clean, comfortable beds, good shower. Great pool area. Loved having the kettles in the reception area so that you could get boiling hot water at any time - bring a thermos bottle with you. I did not have any issues with noise.

We enjoyed a room by the beautiful pool. All employee's were efficient and friendly, making bookings for dinner and offering valuable recommendations. Location near the pond and Hilo waterfront was excellent. Bikes, books and paddleboard s were available free of charge. Most of all the peaceful atmosphere.

The rooms and the entire hotel are well cleaned and beautiful. Towels are new and fluffy. the photos are taken when i check out.

Beautifully recently updated former oldest hotel in Hilo. Great value, superb customer service, spare but very nicely minimally decorated king room with local woodwork and wall art, gorgeous entryway and lobby area, free coffee and tea 24/7, beautiful pool. Yes, some airport noise and parking on street or in free lot around the corner. But we will definitely stay here again when we return to Hilo in 2027.

Every single staff member was so nice and helpful. Free paddle boards, bikes, filtered water, coffee, tea. Swimming pool wasn’t too busy, great place to relax. We were lucky to have stayed in a room with a balcony, where we spent most evenings.
