Great location, lovely grounds, incredible views, cosy, nice fireplace, friendly welcome. Convenient for Coniston, Hawkshead, Ambleside & Grasmere. A very pleasant walking distance and walk to Coniston. Very peaceful. Great for a couples stay. WiFi was decent too.

This is a fantastic location. Was easy enough to get to and from to travel all round the lakes at ease. The property is small, but was the perfect size for the two of us for a week and it beautifully maintained on lovely grounds and the owners are delightful chatty wonderful family. Walking distance to Coniston. Which is all public footpath. Right on the lake. Beautiful views. We will certainly look to come back here as it was perfect for our trip.

The cottage was very well appointed and comfortable with a standard of decoration and facilities you don't usually find in a holiday let. The sofa and the bed were both really comfy and the house was spotlessly clean and very cosy. The owner was friendly and left us a bottle of wine and welcome note. The location is stunning, beautiful gardens and a lovely country walk in to Coniston. Although check out is usually 9am we were able to stay later as there were no new guests arriving that morning so we were able to take our time instead of rushing.
