David “Excellent base for exploring Northumberland”

We stayed 2 nights in the studio apartment. Positives : The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering stay. The apartment was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, made up with good quality bed linen. The staff on duty during our stay were all very friendly and we had the freedom to come and go as we pleased. Negatives : We ate in the on-site restaurant on our first night and were disappointed with the quality of our meals, we chose to eat elsewhere on the 2nd evening. The studio apartment is directly above the toilet/shower facilities for the camp/caravan site, and so unfortunately, even despite the signs asking visitors to be mindful of others who may be sleeping, conversations / doors banging / hand dryers can still be heard in the apartment throughout the day and night. We enjoyed our stay at The Boe Rigg and would use The Studio Apartment again in the future. It is an excellent base for visiting Kielder Observatory and the rest of Northumberland.

The studio apartment was well appointed, spotlessly clean and spacious. The food on offer was good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all, highly satisfied and I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Boe Rigg was a lovely friendly place to stay. Room was well equipped and very spacious. A really comfortable space to be in. Very clean. We enjoyed the location. Rural views and very peaceful but easy access to Bellingham if needed. Also on doorstep of Kielder Water. Great stay and hope to return.

We stayed in their studio apartment & we will be back it's absolutely gorgeous! Someone has put a lot of love in to the place it is so so cosy & pretty. We went to the kielder observatory experience Boe Rigg was the perfect location We ate in the restaurant 2nd evening the food was amazing & for what it was so cheap. Took our leftover food back to the apartment with some ice cream. Very laid back & lovely people. Highly recommend this gorgeous place.

We have really enjoyed our stay at The Boe Rigg. It's in a stunning location and is in a good place to explore from. Plenty of beautiful places around. The little lake with geese is lovely and there are hens wondering about. The accommodation is very good.The bed is super comfy and wide. It was lovely and warm and the decor is lovely. It was a great size room for us and our daughter and her puppy, although a chair would have been useful. The towels are very nice, but there were no toiletries, thankfully we had some with us. The shower was great, plenty of hot water, but the tiles need some attention and just at the back of the tray, some bleach. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were really nice. The bar where you eat meant we could bring the puppy in too, which was really good. It's very quirky with a really relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for the lovely holiday. We hope to be back again soon!!

Location was great as long as you realise you need a car for getting about. The breakfasts and evening meals were good and our hosts were happy to adapt menus to suit our taste.
