We stayed at the Akama Resort in Hervey Bay for three nights. The Akama Resort is a great base for whale watching, as the harbor is only a five-minute walk away. It's also just a few minutes to a small beach (see photo). We booked a three-bedroom apartment with a pool view. The apartment was on the second floor; on the higher floors, you also have a view of the sea. The apartment was sufficiently large and equipped with everything we needed. The pool, including the whirlpool, was clean, and there were several loungers available. We received a very friendly welcome at reception. Since we had a slightly larger car, the owner's parking space was made available to us without much difficulty – thank you again for that.

For our visit the location was perfect. We loved the pool/spa area and pleasantly surprised by the units space and amenities. Staff interaction was friendly and helpful. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.

Very spacious apartment that had everything we needed. Is close to the marina for Fraser Island tours.

Views of the Marina. Heated pool and spa with pool towels supplied. Cath at reception was helpful sharing “what’s on” tips. Rooms were spacious and amenities were plenty. Thank you.
