The fine print
Heron Island is accessible by boat and helicopter from Gladstone. The boat transfer will depart Gladstone Marina for Heron Island at 09:30 daily, except Tuesdays and Thursdays. The return boat transfer will depart from Heron Island at 12:45 daily, except Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Heron Islander will not be operating on Christmas Day, 25 December. The cost of the transfer on the Heron Islander is AU $99 per adult each way and AU $80 per child each way. Please contact the Heron Island Reservations Team to book your boat transfer or inquire about the cost of a scenic helicopter transfer. Please note there is no mobile phone coverage on Heron Island. An Environmental Management Charge (EMC) of AU $8 per person per day (for guests 5 years and older) to a maximum of AU $24 per person per stay will be charged direct to guests. Price is subject to change.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The island is beautiful beyond expectations and this is complimented by the fact that the stay is even more enhanced by the staff. There are great amenities and activities that can be undertaken and everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and quiet and all is perfect for a relaxing stay. The food is delicious and the coffee, too.

The Island is great and the accommodation is set in nature cabin style and back to nature Simple but nice
