We have stayed at the house several times over the years and it still has charm and style. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had dinner one night at the main house, which was great. Otherwise we used the braai by the pool. Managed to get a nature drive one evening and saw a few animals, including a family of bat eared foxes. One tip, always take warm clothing no matter what the weather is like. It is always windier and colder away from the house. One of the game drive guests mentioned a pair of Barn owlets were in the farm silo and we managed to photograph them the next day. Went to the tortoise rescue centre and had a really good chat with the lady who was busy measuring the little ones ready to put them out into the larger enclosure in the reserve. Had a really great stay.

This was our second visit to Bartholomeus Klip, this time staying in the self catering Wild Olive Cottage, which gave us the spaciousness of a home, with the wonderful cooking and staff of the hotel on our doorstep - so no self catering happened!
