My family and I spent a week in this house, and it broke our hearts when it came time to leave. Each of the three bedrooms had their own en-suite bathrooms. There was also an additional guest bathroom by the living room. The beds slept very well and all the furniture was comfortable. Each room was equipped with a panel heater, and there were electric blankets provided which saved us from the bitterly cold and wet Cape Town weather. Despite a smoke problem with the indoor braai, we used it every evening. There was an outdoor braai, but we decided we preferred to deal with the smoke than dare brave the cold winter air outside. We learned how to combat the smoke by opening the bay windows and the back door to allow the air to circulate through and carry the smoke away - while freezing from the cold wind but able to breathe 😃While the meat was cooking, we enjoyed practicing our aim on the dartboard up on the pillar. By far our favourite part of this house was the view. We spent so many hours laying on the couch in front of the huge windows, watching as the waves crashed on the rocks. When it wasn’t too windy, we would open them all the way and listen to the water. Every evening when the sun set and we could no longer appreciate the sight of the sea, we would gather in the living room and watch something from the wide variety of channels provided on the tv. It was a cozy experience and the couches were so comfortable although we did cover them with blankets. The house is in a lovely area - there’s a walking trail parallel to the sea that stretches for kilometres. It’s also a very safe area; we saw unaccompanied children who were clearly familiar with the area, and lots of women and elderly people who felt comfortable to walk alone. The area is popular with dog owners, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well behaved all the dogs were. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here, and didn’t want to leave.

House was well equipped and clean. Susann went out of her way to provide a mattress for the campcot. Spacious and very comfortable beds and bedding.
