A question of what you are looking for and why. In our case we needed a comfortable place to lay our heads and park the car safely and securely. We had plans to eat and be entertained elsewhere so sleep and parking were the priority. The photos and reality have drifted quite far apart in the venue needing some TLC. It’s a bit tatty and rough around the edges but I must say, it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in away from home. So much so I struggled to get up and out on departure day! The remote check in process was seamless and - after an earlier than expected arrival - our hosts facilitated an early check in that ensured we made our commitments in Hereford town centre without the need to rush. A packaged breakfast was waiting outside our rooms in the morning and was a nice balance between healthy and value for money. It made for a perfect start to the day; Porridge, yoghurt, cereal bar, fruit, orange juice, pain au chocolat. Parking was to the rear on pebble hard standing. Plenty of space and no concerns for safety and security. In summary, I definitely get the impression the B&B has seen better times but rest assured, if safety, comfort, cleanliness and value for money are your priority, Hopbine House delivers by the bucket load. Breakfast was acceptable. Room/bed were comfortable. Water was very hot. There were a few things that needed fixing. The bath plug was difficult to get out - the knob does not work. The wash basin was the opposite- the plug did not seal so the water ran out as fast as the tap put it in. The on/off switch on the TV remote was missing so we found something to push in the hole. When the TV was on it didn’t work as there was no aerial.
