We had a short but truly wonderful stay at the Nakajima Hotel. Our authentic Japanese-style room was spotless and had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was also very clean, and we loved the experience of washing ourselves in the traditional onsen. Dear Tomoko and husband, thank you so much for the warm hospitality and for dressing me in a real kimono. We felt incredibly welcome and wish you the very best!

Great location and friendly staff. I will definitely be back! Authentic onsen and rooms are traditional and great experience of Japanese culture. We could check in earlier as well!!!!

Stayed there after a Fuji day hike. We were 13 of us. It is one of the traditional Japanese hotels. Tatami everywhere, no bathroom in the room only onsen. Rooms were comfortable and staff was very helpful ans kind.

Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We dressed in yakutas and took pictures then exchanged cultural backgrounds since I am native American. I am extremely grateful to staff for saving us from walking with luggage in the rain to the train station! They drove us to the station without hesitation when our taxi failed to show.
