Since I already appreciate the Meininger concept from Cologne, I chose it again in Heidelberg. This hotel/hostel looks brand new and offers everything a travelling backpacker needs at a low price: clean rooms (I booked a bed in a female-only room), a washing machine and dryer, a modern guest kitchen for self-catering, and a spacious common area. Everything was perfect!

Didn’t eat breakfast there, the breakfast area looked fine though. Guests have access to a kitchen on the ground floor.

Close to the central station (10-minutes-walk), good price and clean. They served breakfast for 12€ (didn’t try it though). I like that they had 24-hour service.
