We enjoyed our stay, it's a cool old building. We felt it was overpriced for what you get compared to other places we stayed in our 4 week trip of Japan. No locks on rooms which we would've liked - but the hostel felt very safe. Dated kitchen facilities. Quite far out but easy to get the train into Okayama.

It was a really good stay and a home feel, nice skura garden 5-10min walk from it too so it was a big plus It’s not super clean but it’s what you expect from an older traditional house. The staff was very good but breakfast wasn’t worth it

This was my first time sleeping on a futon. It was surprisingly comfortable and cured my back pain. I would like to use it again.

Beautiful building and garden. Sitting having breakfast with the view was so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were great. They make Tatami and are keeping the skill going Highly recommend this as place to stay. I was cycling and met all my needs. Even let me have some sake
