It has everything you need for a mini break, great facilities and luxurious touches. Even though the weather was disappointing we had a wonderful stay and made use of the log burner. The location is perfect for exploring Hay on Wye and the local area. Irene and Barry were fabulous hosts and provided useful tourist info and guides :)

Super cosy retreat with luxurious touches, we slept like logs with no disturbance from lights or traffic (only the occasional bleat and moo from neighbouring fields). We particularly enjoyed the stunning panoramic view of the Golden Valley from the Shepherd's Hut terrace. We received the warmest of Welsh welcomes from our hosts who showed genuine care for our comfort and enjoyment and greeted us with a hamper of delicious breakfast items and home-baked goodies.

We received a lovely welcome to the Shepherds Hut which was very clean and cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Everything we needed was catered for. Delicious home made chocolate muffins and home made bread gave the personal touch. We enjoyed our stay very much.
