We liked that the heating had been turned on for our arrival; we loved that covered parking was available for our motorbikes and although the weather precluded outdoor eating, a covered area with BBQ is provided. My first stay where the host provided WiFi and subscription services to a number of streaming services. The quantity and variety of condiments, soaps, tissues and like was also noteworthy.

Homely Cottage is just as described and had everything and more that we needed for a 2 nights stay. The owner lives out of state, but his mum, who lives close by, is very welcoming, helpful, and on hand should you need her. The cottage is a couple of streets back from Hawker's main street and in close walking distance of the pub which was the only place in our visit that served evening meals. The conversations there with locals and tourists alike were friendly and the food, good pub grub. Kevin's cottage is a great place for exploring The Flinders Ranges.
