Where situated was very convenient. Lively and friendly bar close to centre of Hathersage the railway station and good walks

My friend, his dog and I are on a motorcycle tour to Scotland and chose the hotel for is great location in the heart of the village and easy access to excellent local riding roads. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, making our stay most enjoyable. The bar area and adjoining rooms have recently been tastefully refurbished, whilst still retaining the character and open fires. We ate in the bar and can highly recommend the chicken and tarragon pie, which can be washed down with a good choice of beers. Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of cereals and freshly cooked options. We felt the hotel exceeded our expectations and was excellent value.

The location it is nicely nestled in Hathersage and serves a buffet style help yourself breakfast the rooms are cleab with a lovely large shower
