Well…. I’ve got to be honest from the get go, I’ve traveled to numerous places around the world, meet hundreds of people and rocked them all. However, this place and the beautifully bonkers people that own and run it have to be No1. The raw honesty from the beginning, the fact that writhing maybe 3 minutes of being there we were talking about who we hate the most in our families, absolutely perfect start. Kim and Richard are two people that everyone needs to meet, even it’s just once. It won’t be like that for us though because we will be back. The room was spotless, the attention to detail for everything was first class. The evening we had a walk to the local pub for food that was very good, with fantastic views, the wasps and their annoying little shitty faces did let it down slightly, but we talked to waitress into starting smoking again after 5yrs so not a complete wash out. We returned to the accommodation and rudely interrupted the hosts evening meal, however they didn’t give two furry monkeys tails and we then disgusted shark attacks, serial killers, ‘if’ Michael Jackson dunnit or not. Now for us that was perfect, a light debate with no direct consequences and and absolute giggle with people who don’t take life to seriously as we all know it can be too short, some more than others. Now to conclude this absolute masterpiece of a review. People, if you’re knocking about down there for business or you’ve got a major drug deal going down, maybe you’re leaving your wife for the weekend to meet up for a little ‘me’ time but secretly you’d like to wear a dress and some heels, call yourself Michaela, then go and do it here.

Kim and Richard were in touch with me beforehand to check our arrival time and give guidance on how to find the property. They upgraded us to the more expensive room with the Juliet balcony, I forgot to take a look at the original room booked. The room and en suite were in the roof space of the bungalow. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning, I forgot to check the manufacturer - I want one!! I slept very well with the tower fan going throughout the night as it was very hot. The continental breakfast and extra goodies left in the fridge for us were a lovely surprise. Also lots of coffee/tea options. Initially I thought it was a bit pricy, but if you add up all you are given, it isn't. You get what you pay for. Kim and Richard have put a lot of thought into making Hillvine a lovely comfortable place to stay, they are very friendly and hospitable, but give you space and privacy unless you want to socialise or use their garden.

Immaculately presented but where we were made to feel instantly at home and comfortable. Kim and Richard are warm, welcoming hosts. Great attention to detail. We appreciated the delicious cake and tea on arrival and all the goodies for breakfast. The bed was really comfortable and it was so nice to have lovely towels and toiletries in the bathroom. Our view from the bedroom was stunning. We look forward to our next stay at Hillvine
