Louise “Wonderful heritage place to enjoy Harrisburg”

This is a heritage building which is beautifully presented. There are lovely communal rooms to use as well as the spacious bedroom. The bed was antique but had a lovely comfy mattress. Breakfast was served in sittings around a big old table so there was a chance to meet and chat to fellow guests. Parking is free, flat and close by.

My mother and I felt warmly welcomed to this fine establishment from the moment of our arrival. We stayed overnight on the eve of a relative's wedding, and enjoyed everything about our stay. The cozy room and common areas were perfect. We walked throughout the property, taking in the gorgeous landscaping. Beautiful hydrangea bloomed, some with 3 colors of flowers. The Adirondack chairs on the front lawn supported us as we viewed the Susquehanna. Sherri is the friendly proprietor, and ensured a perfect stay. Our breakfast was delicious and eaten in a beautiful dining room adorned with unique antiques. Mom raved about the spinach fritatta, while I savored scrambled eggs."B" was magical in the kitchen and dining room, efficiently serving each guest. There are numerous bookcases full of varied genres of books. It is not unusual for guests to find something to read while comfortably sitting on antique chairs, sofas, and chaises. What a magnificent lodging choice! Our needs were anticipated, and exceeded. Thank you for our delightful stay!

Would be nice to see the host on arrival to make the experience more personal and warmth. Location is great, room was very comfortable. Breakfast was OK.
