The staff were very friendly and helpful - special mention to duty manager Brian and the lovely lady who ran the breakfast operation. The bell boy was also very helpful. The location in old town Hanoi could not be better - right in the heart of the action. Breakfast was nice with a range of eggs and omelettes quickly cooked to order. CNN and BBC news on the TV - a welcome surprise. Although we were dissatisfied with our rooms on the first night and complained, duty manager Brian promised to move us the next day and arranged free transport to the airport on check out as well as a small discount. True to his word, the next day, Brian moved us to much more satisfactory rooms adjacent to each other and serviced by a modern lift. So, for the second two nights of our three nights, we enjoyed a satisfactory stay, thanks to the excellent staff.
