Lovely welcome with home-made cake. Also a little fridge with fresh milk and a plentiful supply of various tea, coffee and hot chocolate options as well as a chocolate treat! Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and a good choice of mains!! Would highly recommend!

This was a terrific place to stay while cycling hadrian's wall. The room was so comfortable, the breakfast was exceptional and our hosts seemed to have forseen everything we might need, even greeting us with a cold beer. There is secure storage for bikes. There is so much to see in the area that another time I would be tempted to stay longer and cycle out from there (minus the panniers!)

The friendliness of the owners. The excellent breakfast choice. Having access to the residents lounge any time during the day. The location as a base for visiting Hadrian’s Wall and museums.
