We stayed in the hotel 7 years ago and were curious to see it again during our second trip to Halong. The hotel and its location, staff etc remain excellent. However, there is now a large techno beach club approx. 800m from the hotel where excessive loud music drones on from 7pm-2pm every night (patio doors vibrated). During our stay families with children moved the following morning (we were given ear plugs). Although not the hotels fault (they have complained to the tourism board), if it continues nightly, that part of Halong city will be a ghost town within years.

Staff very accomodating and helpful. Relaxed dinning which was great as we wanted to eat outside and they accomodate it easily.
