The fine print
A 48-hour advance registration is required by Halong Bay Management Authority and Port Authority Permits. Guests must provide full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number/ ID number, and Vietnamese visa expiry date for all passengers under Special Requests box. Guests who fail to provide the necessary information above may not be allowed to be on board. Upon check-in, guests are required to present a valid passport or ID to board the cruise.Please note that cruise itineraries, activities and schedules are subject to change, dependent upon the weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Refund policies are to communicate directly with the property.Guests with any dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian resources, food allergies, religious restrictions, etc.) are requested to inform the cruise at least 7 days before departure.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

We did the 3-day / 2-night UniCharm Cruise through Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Cat Ba Island – and absolutely loved it! Our guide Quang was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, always in a good mood, and very relaxed. The tour delivers on its promise to avoid the tourist crowds, and it really works – we enjoyed scenic spots often ahead of others or with max 1-2 other boats nearby. The boat was well-maintained, the food was delicious, and everything was exactly as advertised. Highly recommended!

The cruise took us out of Ha Long Bay to the neighbouring bay, where it was quieter and cleaner. The tour guide, Quang, was great. I especially loved the kayaking. The hiking was a bit strenuous. But we did it!

I am so glad I booked this Unicharm cruise it was amazing. I spent months looking up all the reviews of different cruises as there are so many and it's pretty confusing to chose. We are a couple in our 50s and wanted to see Cat Ba island and Lan Ha Bay on a nice boat with nice rooms. The boat and rooms were lovely with a huge bed and amazing views. This boat travels from halong bay over to Lan ha bay where it stays overnight. It's so quiet and beautiful. The food was delicious and good priced drinks. One of the best parts was our tour guide Hieu. Hieu was so much fun, and gave lots of information about everything, and so helpful. The kayaking on lan ha bay was so beautiful, and there was noone else around. Vega travel also saved my trip as my evisa hadn't arrived the day before we flew out of Australia, and they helped sort it out.

We spent a long time researching before booking a cruise. I am so glad we went with UniCharm. The itinerary was perfect, we were away from the crowded areas. Great activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking and cycling. None of the activities were rushed at all. Our tour guide, Quang was excellent, very attentive, funny and personable. Everything was so well organised, thoroughly communicated and it was just a smooth, no hassle trip. We informed the cruise at the point of booking that we were vegan and they catered well for us and we had some excellent meals. I would recommend the 3D2N so you really make the most of it. All of it was great, but the kayaking and cycling were our favourite activities. The drinks on the boat were very well priced also.
