While it seems a little out of the way, the Inn is actually well-situated. A ten-minute walk down the hill will take you to Pier 21 (Pier 21 museum, Pier 23 farmer's market, East Coast Lifestyle and Garrison Brewing), and then onward along the Harbourfront. Dalhousie university is across the street; Point Pleasant Park is a 1.5 km walk (past the most beautiful, big, old mansions in the city), and then a 10-minute walk in the other direction to Spring Garden Road (Halifax Public Garden, Citadel Hill, Stillwell Beer Garden and the Dairy Bar). While not fancy, the inn is very clean, well appointed, and the staff were extremely helpful. I was able to leave my suitcase for the day after I checked out at 11 am. Breakfast was a continental self-serve including hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee and tea. Not much else in the area unless you hit the market down the hill or check out Spring Garden Road, both ten-minute walks.

Breakfast was nice and we were offered a breakfast to go. Staff was all very pleasant and helpful. They took good care of us. It’s a bit of a walk to waterfront from there but we had a car . I believe public transportation is efficient as well.the hotel itself was a little run down.
