Good location - Very close to Goryu Hakuba slopes and a shuttle bus to the Goryu slopes < 50m away from the front door. Hosts are very accomodating and lovely! No troubles at all. They even have luggage transport service as well (Takkyubin)! The hosts also provided a discount for rentals as well, the rentals were also very affordable and good quality. If you want to walk to Goryu, its only a 10minute uphill walk if you’re up to it 😅 Heating in the room was excellent!

The 4night stay here is very comfortable. The hosts are very nice and accommodating to our requests. Great value for group snowboarding trip! Their offer of discounted tickets for Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba 47 is good value for money too, saving us some cost ;) If you are looking to have a comfortable and peaceful dinner after whole day snowboarding or on the day you arrive, you should try their pre-booked dinner (needa book 1 day in advance). It is amazingly value for money and saving you lots of hassle for finding a place to eat. Highly recommended! Impressed to know that the hosts have been doing this lodging for 20 years, since 2005! Happy 20 anniversary, our amazing hosts!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

The location of Pension Ciel is not far from Goryu escal plaza (about 10 min walk but with a gentle slope uphill). The free shuttle G2 to goryu is about 100m away, so it is very easy to get to the ski resort. It is also very easy to get to Sanosaka and Kashimayari, for which the shuttle R2 is not far away. But as to go to other ski resorts in the north, you have to go to the escal plaza first and switch to paid shuttle V2, that is not convenient. The pension is operated by a couple, and the hostress Satoko is very very friendly, and I had a very comfortable stay during 3 days, and her husband drove me to the bus station the last day. We can feel every detail in the room of the carefullness she wants to give to her customers. As to the price, I didn't realize that my booking doesn't include breakfast, so a little pity that I don't want to pay another 1500 yen for the breakfast lol. And the whole building is made of wood with beautiful blue color!
