The Oak Forest had a great breakfast. The location of the hotel was a bit out of the centre of Echo Land, if you don't have a car you will need to walk 15 minutes in the snow to get to the restaurants. The rooms were very clean but the decor is dated. There is a shuttle bus stop at the hotel, but not every ski resort shuttle bus stops there. There is ski hire at the hotel but it wasn't open when I was there. Maybe too early in the season? No signage to explain why.

Great location, in forest 15 minutes walk to the restaurants and bars of echoland, streets were lit at night. Ski lockers were warm so good for drying ski boots overnight.

Lovely hotel - people on this app have said it is a bit dated but I would say this is in a charming way - everything is functional and clean and you can tell it has been well maintained. The japanese style room was spacious, comfortable and warm, the breakfast was amazing, and the onsen is so nice and relaxing - especially the outdoor one
