The onsen with its views of the mountains and free access makes this hotel outstanding. The dining room is beautiful, also with the same view. The buffet breakfast and dinner are both excellent and great value for money. We went hiking up the mountains thanks to a shuttle bus and walks along the river are very pretty. Hakuba is quiet and pristine where nature rules. The interior part walking to the onsen is beautiful.

The location is not far from train station. Staff able to communicate in English. Rooms are clean and comfort. Breakfast is good.

Stayed here for 6 nights for a ski holiday and we had to change room half way through as I booked late and they were fully booked. Lovely staff they moved our stuff to the new room which meant we could go out for the day to enjoy skiing. Location isn't in the centre of town which wasn't a problem. There is a shuttle bus to the ski resorts, if you don't have a car. We did have a car which made it really easy. Onsen was lovely after a full day's of skiing. There was a ski rental shop opposite the hotel which was convent. We had breakfast and dinner included one of the waitresses called June was super friendly and very welcoming. Was a joy to see her everyday.
