The room was perfect for what we needed. I loved the location being right next to where we wanted to ski. There is also a bus stop right out the front so very easy to get to the other mountains.

This hotel/lodge was exactly as advertised and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Aussie-run, few frills but cheerful with a warm and cosy vibe. The staff are welcoming, friendly and genuinely helpful, with the benefit of their experience beyond their immediate remit. Though you can walk a few yards to ski if the resort-lifts are open in Norrikura, the fact that the Hakuba Valley Shittle ski bus stops right outside, for Cortina in one direction and the other Hakuba Valley reports in the other is really handy. A limited but very decent menu in the bar from lunchtime until late, and other Japanese restaurants in the same building makes this a really convenient place to come back to after a tiring day on the hill. I travelled with two boys, and this is a family friendly place to stay with the option of rooms with bunk beds.
