A typical Japanese spa hotel, it was a great experience. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and made a real effort to make the stay special. The rooms were lovely traditional style and had a retro feel which we loved. Great views from the onsen next door and from our room. Breakfast and dinner were intricate and tasted incredible! The location was also good as we were next to the cable car and there were several casual restaurants and shops and you could easily walk to moto hakone which is such a cute town. I would say a weekend trip is a perfect amount of time to spend here.

Great to experience a calm, traditional Japan. Recommend the japanese style rooms for a different experience. Staff very friendly. Onsen with view of mt fuji is incredible.

Dinner and breakfast were amazing, a very cultural and tasty experience. The location was also beautiful, with a landscape of mountains and a view of the lake that is definitely worth seeing. We even caught a Fuji through the window as we were lucky with the good weather
