We loooved this stay!! If you come to Japan, you MUST experience a traditional accommodation such as this one. We had the best time in Suimeisou. The staff is very friendly and the lady that brought dinner and breakfast to our room was very sweet. The rooms are clean and bright. We tried the private onsen (which comes at an extra fee that is not expensive at all) as well as the public one. The Japanese futon beds are surprisingly very comfortable to sleep in. This hotel is also at a great location to start the Hakone round trip to the mountain. It's a truly unique experience!

Lovely traditional room with the sweet small of the tatami mats helping to create a lovely atmosphere. Great location easily accessible from the station. The dinner and breakfast banquets were such a great experience and the food was delicious. The private open air onsen was amazing too. Worth every bit of what we paid.
