The fine print
An advance reservation is required for Yamazakura teppanyaki restaurant.The hot spring public baths are open from 06:00 to 10:30 and from 14:00 to 24:00.Dinner for guests with dinner-included plans will be served at 18:00 and the guests will be served French meals.Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests.

Excellent location - right on the beautiful Lake Ashi. Multiple bus stops are right outside the hotel, with buses going to eg Hakone Shrine, Hakone-Yumoto station, Odawara Station etc. Travel was very convenient, but it is worth checking timetables if travelling to the station as buses are sometimes infrequent. The view from our room was extraordinary. We woke up at 6am or so to catch the most spectacular view of Mount Fuji across the lake (very lucky with the clear weather). As the day goes on it can get more cloudy, so would recommend an early start to make the most of the view. The sento was very relaxing. Delicious breakfast with a large selection. Room was comfortable. Staff are helpful and attentive - they kindly allowed us to store our luggage at reception.
